At only 18-years-old singer-songwriter, Lauren Spencer-Smith, has easily taken the music industry by storm with the release of her single, “Fingers Crossed”!
She has more talent in her whole entire body than I do in one of my fingers. Okay, that may be a little dramatic however it does ring true (for the most part).
Lauren was born in England, but grew up and was raised on Vancouver Island in Canada.
When Lauren was 8, she started entering singing competitions. She began performing and singing on stage at local events in her hometown. She entered a radio station contest and got the opportunity to perform with Keith Urban (she was 11, mind you)!
Back in 2019, Lauren did a rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Always Remember Us This Way” gaining the attention of thousands, and easily broke 30 million views on YouTube in just a few weeks.
Teasing a snippet of “Fingers Crossed” back in November on TikTok, the video immediately went viral and now has over 24 million views and 3.5 million likes.
Releasing on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 the single alone has accumulated over 20+ million streams on Spotify.
Her first single, “Back to Friends”, has over 18+ million streams in just the first five months of its release. Her second single, “For Granted” showcased her unique voice and ability to sing ballads.
Lauren truly stands out from others in the music industry with her insane talent and exquisite songwriting.
