Indie-Pop Artist, Cade Hoppe, Releases New Single, “Hurts”

Emerging indie-pop artist, Cade Hoppe (pronounced hoppy) releases new single, “Hurts”!

If anything, indie-pop can put you in any mood imaginable.

Towards the end of 2021, Cade released his debut EP, ‘Tell Me How It’s Worth It’ (highly recommended) which was produced by Harper James (1/2 of Eighty Ninety).

Don’t they sound familiar? They were featured last year on the release of their single, “heart on the line” which can be read here.

From the release to his EP to the release of this single, Cade delivers heart-wrenching truths about love and loss.

“Hurts” is written from the point of view from someone who has recently broken up with their significant other.

It wrestles with feeling the weight of their absence.

Be honest – we all have felt this way at some points in our lives. Right?

Originally from Sacramento, California, Cade now resides in New York.

Ever since his childhood, he has written songs and has played guitar, piano, bass and saxophone.

It wasn’t until 2020 that he started to explore his true passion of releasing his own music.

The 22-year-old is prepared to fill 2022 with even more music.

‘Hurts’ is about experiencing that strange post-relationship purgatory for the first time and realizing that anyone you love is going to hurt to lose, whether you were both meant to be or not. The thesis of this song is: ‘It’s not easy losing somebody, it always hurts.’ I think we all have to learn that lesson at some point in our lives and this song is about when I learned it for myself.
